These holidays me, Abbi, and our friend Hannah
have started jumping on Doc! It's heaps of fun and I can see why people like it so much now.
So far we have just been doing little jumps of about 50cm- around 80cms, but because Doc jumps with so much scope, most of the jumps are more like 1metre at least! We are having heaps of fun with them and can't wait to see how high we go jumping wise these holidays :)

3/12/13
This is a photo that Abbi took of me when we went for a ride a couple of days ago. It was heaps of fun because we just went bareback instead of using a saddle and the whole time Doc was reeeeaaaly slow. The only annoying thing was the fact that in the paddock right next to us there was a chain saw going the whole time we where riding- but Doc was still nearly asleep!
We went for a ride last night too and Abbi accidentally did a little jump over some poles when she was trotting!
Happy riding :)

About Me
Hi, my names Grace and I'm about to tell you what this blog is about.
Some time in January, my family are going to be looking after our neighbours two horses, Doc and and peanut for around 4-6 months while they are away.
Doc is a 16.2 hh (hh= hands high) Irish draught/ Thoroughbred bay gelding. He LOVES carrot and is generally very cuddly. Peanut is a Cat B (Sorry your gonna have to get used to all this horse language- Cat B= category B, but more on that later :) ) grey miniature horse gelding and Docs paddock mate. He will eat anything and gets very very fat on barely any grass at all- so we're gonna have watch his weight this summer! At the moment, we are working on breaking him in (like teaching him how to be ridden and stuff) and Abbi is the jockey! He's been really good so far and hasn't bucked her of yet :)
That's all for now!
